We had a fantastic field trip to Olamana Gardens.  Olomana Gardens is a fully sustainable garden that is tucked away in Waimanalo.  We enjoyed seeing this amazing learning garden.  We fed horses, ducks, geese, chickens and fish.  We learned the important role that each animal plays in the garden.  Students also saw Farmer Glenn's amazing aquaponics garden and his water pumps.  Ask your child what their favorite animal at the garden was and why it was important.    We will be finishing up our Sharing the Planet unit this week and designing brochures that teach how to conserve and maintain earth's resources.
Thank you to Mrs. Machida for chaperoning this fun and informative field trip!
I will be updating the photo page soon with pictures from our Sharing the Planet Unit and the Field Trip.  Check back soon!
